My Mentorship Philosophy
I believe every student is an inventor. At TuxAcademy, I don’t hand out solutions – I build engineering mindsets. My sessions are filled with hands-on robotics challenges, debugging adventures, and storytelling from the industry.
“The best way to learn programming is to see your code move a motor, light up a sensor, or respond to the real world. That’s the magic of robotics – and that’s my promise as your mentor.”
Professional Experience
- Design and deliver project-based curriculum in robotics, embedded C++, and IoT systems for aspiring engineers aged 12+.
- Lead workshops on ESP32 programming, sensor fusion, and real-time control logic while nurturing a community of 200+ young makers.
- Guide student teams in national robotics competitions and hackathons with emphasis on human-centric design and sustainable technology.
- Integrate storytelling and real debugging scenarios to transform theoretical concepts into practical engineering skills.
- Designed and deployed real-time IoT control systems for EV charging infrastructure using ESP32, MQTT and Firebase.
- Developed cross-platform Flutter dashboards to monitor and command remote devices, reducing system latency by 30% through API optimizations.
- Integrated Mappls APIs for live tracking and location-based filtering, improving user experience for charging networks.
- Collaborated with hardware teams to ensure robust communication between embedded devices and backend services.
Signature Projects
Smart EV Charging Robot Interface
Real-time IoT control of charging stations using MQTT and ESP32. Created a Flutter app that simulates robot-like command execution, wireless firmware updates and live telemetry. The system supports sustainable urban mobility.
MQTT Remote Control Rover
Built a prototype wheeled robot controlled through an MQTT dashboard. Students learn low-latency messaging, motor drivers and obstacle avoidance using ultrasonic sensors. This project is taught as a flagship TuxAcademy workshop.
Cross-Platform IoT Command Hub
Flutter + Firebase + ESP32 based scalable robotics dashboard template enabling real-time sensor plotting, actuator control and secure OTA updates.
C++ for Embedded Wizardry
A curated series of challenges ranging from memory-efficient firmware to PID controller simulations, helping students think like firmware engineers while exploring autonomous navigation.
Education
Learn by Building Real Things
Real-World Engineering
Every concept is rooted in actual products and systems including EV chargers, IoT fleets and cross-platform dashboards. The focus is on practical engineering rather than theoretical learning alone.
Hands-On, Every Session
From blinking LEDs to autonomous bots, students write code, wire circuits and debug hardware alongside their mentor.
Human-Centred Mentorship
Small group or 1:1 learning allows Hemant to adapt sessions to the student's pace. Curiosity is encouraged over memorization, and mistakes become opportunities to learn.
Career & Competition Ready
Students build a practical portfolio featuring C++ robotics projects, IoT prototypes and the problem-solving mindset needed for technical competitions.
